Rentang suaranya mencapai 10 oktaf - mengalahkan Mariah Carey yang 'cuma' 8 oktaf. Masa kecilnya dipenuhi tragedi hingga sempat melihat ayahnya menodongkan pistol ke ibunya dan akan menembaknya. Meski dipuji, tetapi dia kalah - karena wajah kurang cantik dan kalah sms - dalam talent search di negaranya - Philippine.
Tapi memang emas tak kehilangan kilaunya meski sempat terpendam dalam lumpur. Seperti kata pepatah; meski di lingkungan dalam kita belum terlihat baik, tetapi tetaplah berbuat baik hingga paling tidak lingkungan luar yang melihat kita baik. Bintangnya mulai bersinar sejak menjadi tamu pada Oprah Winfrey show. Kini si wajah Asia itu mampu mempesona musisi legendaris David Foster dan ikut runtang-runtung dalam tour-nya. Kerja telah menunjukkan hasil. Super!!
